Facebook Privacy Policy?

Facebook Privacy Policy?
I am a little confused with facebooks privacy policy. As I understand it, as of right now when you delete your profile it is gone forever. My question is, is my deleted profile information stored somewhere on a computer? The reason I ask this is because I have deleted my facebook once before and when I restarted it everything came back including old comments and pictures. This would mean it is being stored on a computer. I thought they did not do this and that is why everyone got upset when they changed their privacy policy. Can someone clear this up for me?

Deleting your profile only disallows you to log in the site. They keep your info for convenience, so if you want to become a member again you don't have to start from scratch.

Well, yeah. All facebook information is stored in the website's own database. Just because you deactivate an account doesn't mean it's deleted. Their system keeps everything from deactived accounts still stored away so that people can, like you mentioned, come back to their previously deactivated account and retrieve old information.

To actually delete your facebook account (or the closest thing to it), I think you would have to individually delete each and every picture and remove each and every friend on your list.
