Why is my new facebook relationship chance not showing up on my or my friends newsfeed?

So i just got into a relationship and my boyfriend changed his relationship status to in a relationship with me 3 hours ago and i got a request and just now accepted it (i just got home) and its not on my newsfeed and i looked on my moms account and its not on hers either. I have my settings as the public can view it.. so idk if anyone can see it? I guess its not a huge deal i just kinda wanted people to know.

Just check out the audience of your relationship info is friends, if not change it as friends or public. Near to your info audience selector is there to choose who you want to share this with.

Depending where you checked it and who exactly checked it, maybe it's because they have a lot of friends or maybe it's posted on your profile and not on newsfeed. Sometimes, it won't show on newsfeed.

You can post it as a status and then highlight it from your profile
or find the relationship change on your profile and highlight it so when people go to your profile, they'll see.
