Why does my facebook profile picture show up on google images?

My friends and I were fooling around with Google Images and typing each others' names to see what would pop up-- but when we typed in mine, the thumbnail of my Facebook profile pic showed up! I don't know why this happened, but I've checked my privacy settings on Facebook and everything is set to "friends only". So why is my photo on Google??

Because Facebook is apart of Google. Even if you have your Facebook on private, everyone can still see your photos. Whether you want to believe it or not.

Because when someone uploads a picture on the internet period, that is included with Google your information will be on the world wide web. Also it's not just Facebook, it could also be from Myspace, Bebo Tagged etc . if u have made another account on anywhere and put your picture / pictures on there.
