Does he like me or am I just imagining it?

There's this guy in my school that my friends say likes me because he always looks at me. Like when I'm looking around the room I'll meet his eyes, we'll look at each other for a couple of seconds and then one of us looks away.

My friends have tried to tell him that I like him by sending facebook messages or writing it on a sticky note and giving the sticky note to him, He looked at the sticky note, laughed, and stuck it on somebody else. Then, when my friend went to ask him something about me he said "I don't want to talk about her anymore!" After that I messaged him over facebook saying that I was sorry for my friends bugging him and he said that it didn't bug him about what they were saying but that they said it everyday, which made my friends believe that he likes me because he said that he didn't care about what they were saying. Finally, we had a group project in class and he was in my group sitting right next to me and my best friend and he said "This girl I like is home sick so I'm going to bring her her favorite movie and candy". I got a little depressed when he said this and my best friend noticed.

She said that it seems that he likes me and he might be making that whole thing up about the other girl because he wants to see if I'll be jealous. She says that he's the type of person to do that because she has known him for a couple of years now. She says that he might be checking to see if I'm jealous because he doesn't know if I actually like him or not because he might think that my friends told him I like him as a joke.

But I actually do like him...

Does he like me or am I just imagining it?

You're just imagining it. He doesn't like you, but he definitely likes the attention you're giving him.
