Cannot receive selected mail?
About a week ago I have started NOT to receive personal-sent mail. I am able to receive automatically-generated emails (notifications from Facebook groups, subscriptions to products/companies, invites from LinkedIn, etc.) but not emails sent by friends, relatives or even myself (using my Gmail account). Sending mail works, but my sent emails do not appear in my sent mail folder. I have not changed any mail settings. I use Firefox on Windows 7.

Yahoo never goes more than 12 months without making major changes to their site. New home page, new email features, new Y!A features, updated calendar and notepad. Many users wish that Yahoo would just leave things alone. When they work on the site, there are huge problems. Your problem has been reported to Yahoo by many users. When so many people all have the same problem at the same time, you know it is not your computer. It is Yahoo working behind the scenes. When Yahoo's engineers were asked why they don't just shut down the site for 2 days to complete the work, they said that they need to have the site up and running to know if their "fixes" are working. We are in the midst of major (and minor) upgrades. At the left side of the email page, "Stationery" and "My Cool Fonts" no longer appear.
The one certainty is that all of the problems will disappear when Yahoo finishes their upgrades. They all clear up at once. Then everything gets back to normal for 9-10 months. We users will have many new features (some we like and some we don't). The other way we know that work is being done is that none of the Help Desk troubleshooting tips work to solve the problem. You just have to wait. Some users post workarounds at suggestions.yahoo.com (Answers). Ads |

Pochette, I have investigated your Yahoo! Mail account and found that your account was configured to block a large number of domains, including addresses from Yahoo!, Gmail, and Hotmail. I have reset your configuration and you should now be able to receive new email, however, this behavior indicates that your account may have become compromised. We recommend that you change your password and review the following articles:

Account http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en...id=SLN2080 How to block and unblock messages from a specific address or domain http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en...id=SLN3228 Additionally, your settings to save sent messages may have been disabled. Please review the following article to reenable this feature: http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en...id=SLN3394 |
