What's the best phone for 16 year olds?

I currently have iPhone 4, I've had it since the end of last year and I'm over it. I have a part time job so I could afford to pay around $40 to $50 a month on a plan. I'm looking at the BlackBerry range and I'm thinking about getting 'BlackBerry Bold 9900' I will actually use the e-mails and sync my school e-mails, Tumblr alerts and Twitter. I use the Internet a lot so I need something fast, that has touch screen. I've used a BlackBerry before but it wasn't mine, I used to text for my mum off it, those kinds of things. I'm not heavily into Apps and I have a few old iPods that I used to use, so I can use them for listening to music and playing games. I'm sick of using big touch screen phones like iPhone's, they are too heavy too.

Does anyone have this phone? can you tell me the pros and cons? or other good phones in the BlackBerry range or anything with a qwerty keyboard, I don't want the HTC Chacha because I don't have Facebook..

from what you have said about your uses the blackberry seems ideal. the 9900 is a bit heavy and battery life isnt great (will get you thru a day tho) i personally would go for the bold 9790 its virtually the same as the 9900 as in touch screen, fast, lots of memory etc but a much cooler looking phone, smaller and lighter too. plus it has auto focus camera, the 9900 doesnt.
