Why do ads keep being sent from me?

A dell laptop ad has been posted to all my friends's walls and now they're going out through chat. I'm not sending/posting these. How do I protect my computer/Facebook from these?

its called a computer virus. either find a website which can get rid of it or completely wipe your computer clear.

Change ALL of your passwords to different things. they hackers have your password and are simply logging in under you an spamming everyone in sight.

first, change your password

then go to account settings and click security on the left

then click "Edit" for active sessions and look at all the places you have logged in from (they should all look familar to you) (if you see one that you are sure isnt you, then click "end activity" for that session)

but if everything still looks normal, it's an APP you added that is doing it

so then go to a list of your apps

(same account settings page, click APPS on the left)

look at all of the apps, and delete anything that you dont recognize or anything you dont use

then reboot your computer and log in again

if it's still happening, you might want to scan your computer using whatever anti-virus program you have installed after you make sure that you have all the most recent updates for your anti-virus (this part might take a long time)
