Is Facebook going to force the Timeline on us?

It's the stupidest layout I've ever seen. I heard they are going to automatically turn facebook into the timeline by a certain date... is this true? And if so, why? It's weird.

Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement about the deployment of the upgrade in any of its official pages, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size are never optional.

Besides, there are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile. Take a look at the article in the source to see what those evidences are.

There is no way of turning back, as usual.
Why? Because things change, update, upgrade, it's like saying you want to keep working with Windows 95...
And yes, it will change in not too much of time.
