Why did she REALLY friend request me on facebook?

Kind of a long story, but bare with me please. I was really good friends with this girl 'Tara' for a long time well we just stopped being friends after she humiliated me on facebook by tagging me saying that I was going to marry a douchebag and that she never liked my fiance and all of this random crap that came out of nowhere. I couldn't believe she would go to such a low by posting this on facebook when me and my fiance never did anything to her. Well after that happened I deleted her and just didn't communicate with her again. I have another friend 'Sam' me and her stopped being friends because she lied to me about multiple things you shouldn't lie about well after we stopped being friends she threatened me so I blocked her and haven't talked to her since then. Well my friend 'tara' recently messaged me on facebook saying she was really sorry and that I should forgive her and she friend requested me. So being the bigger person I added her back and she is friends with 'sam' and I feel like the only reason 'tara' friend requested me was so that her and 'sam' could talk crap about me since they can see my facebook now. Should I just delete 'tara'? She gave this big speech over the message she sent me saying we could be friends again and she likes me as a good friend however since I added her back she hasn't commented or messaged me again so I'm confused? Should I just delete her?

if someone goes around talking about you they are taking time out of their life and most likely jealous so dont sweat it. i know you dont like being humiliated and if someone did that to me i would do the same thing. i also think it would be wise to unfriend tara so she doesnt start it again. best of luck!(:
