So I'm in 8th grade and she is. I'm 13 she's 12. And she is popular, pretty, and nice (have barely talked to her but she just seems nice around everybody). I'm so shy it is ridiculous seriously. And this is why I was stupid got her number from Facebook to be a creeper then I downloaded TextPlus+ onto my iPod (and I have some weird number like 740-234-9053) so she has no idea who it is. When I first texted her I said "hey!(:" and then she said "Who is this?" And I said "I don't know. Who are you?" And she said "I don't know, Who are you?" And so on. And then we just started talking about random stuff (I didn't tell her that I liked her or anything). And I started texting her EVERYDAY and she was starting to get annoyed (how can I blame her I would of to). All of friends started texting me to. (probably to annoy me) and they would say "Heeey! Who are you?" and I would say "I don't know. Who are you?" and they would say "Whatever faaaag!" She actually just texted me a few days ago and said "If you don't tell me who you are in the next text I want text you anymore and I want like you. So tell me who you are because maybe I like you now." and I said "But I don't think that you would like me. :'( Because do you like really athletic popular people or what or do you like just normal people at school?" And then she said "Bye." And I actually texted her after another day and she did text back. Like I said I'm so so shy (this is why I try to talk to her this way). And so do you think that I should tell her who I am now? Should I just use my phone and text her and tell her right away who I am? (or would that just be creepy?) I came in to class late one time and she said "hi" and my name. and I said "hi" back. I did tell her that I'm sorry for acting like a ******* fag. And I don't know why you would like me now because if I were you I would not like me so... and she said "Why don't you just tell me then?" and I said "Because I'm so shy. And you are the most popular, nice, and most pretty girl in the world.(:" And she said "Well thanks. But you should really tell me who you are now. There are two out comes of this, either she actually does like you and wants to find out who you are or she thinks your a total creeper and is going to report you. But since you said she was nice, you should go for it.

Give her some hints of who you might be. like your appearence or what classes you may have together. And then after have have given her these hints, tell her your name and hopefully she'll keep on talking to you. If she already sort of likes you, putting a name and face to the picture shouldn't be a big deal. Good luck!

The thing is all this technology has made being personal so distant. I know the feeling about being shy about approaching that girl. But as I found out throughout my years if you dont try then you would never know. Just approach her and be truthful with her and you will feel alot better about the situation.

Tell her! your sooo young with nothing to lose, I had over 6 or 7 girlfriends in the 8th grade, just have to tell her! trust me, she will like it that you can take action, try not to be shy, girls like a guy who is in charge, don't be mean but show her that you aren't afraid of what people say or think, you like her and that's all that matters, nobody cares if your athletic, your still a person and that's all that matters, don't put yourself down, hold your head up! Okay... I think you should tell her who you are. If you do and she likes you then great. If not, is it really the end of the world. Think about your answer. It should be no. You are thirteen. And even though I hated it when people demeaned my relationships when I was you age, I still have to tell you as a responsible "adult" that there will be other girls. Better ones.

As of right now, I would say that she has at least a bit of a crush on your persona, so that is definitely a plus. If I were you, I would tell her, but in person. If she does like you back and you decide to go out, you have to get used to communicating with her directly.

I think that you should tell her who you are and how you got her number so she isn't as freaked out. Being yourself is the best option because if one day she somehow finds out who you are from someone else? And you have to try. one of the best things a guy could do for a girl he likes is try. I think she does like you because if she is as nice as you say she is then she wouldn't text you that she might like you and then not actually like you because what it seems like is while you were texting, she got to know you and if you like a girl she doesn't deserve the person that likes her if she bases if she likes him off how her friends will react or his looks. another tip is you never know until you try!
