The candidates it gives are obviously not random, but I can't figure out the criteria it uses to select which of your friends are most likely to be your true friend, have a crush on you, or have sex with you. Anyone know?

In all honesty, I think it's just random. It probably pulls out whose profile you visit most, or who you have most contact/activity with so that it will pull up someone you are close with, to make it seem more believeable.

There is no real way for these applications to predict who you will end up marrying, who has a crush on you, etc. They cannot predict human emotions.

I think it's completely random.
It's not who's in your Top Friends; I checked that.
There is no way for it to actually know that about you.
It is just an interesting application for you to have fun with.

They definitely aren't random. I think the friend bot sees how many photos you have with people, and calculates it from that. Crush bot? Perhaps how many profile view counts.

Sexbot I have no bloody clue. I want to know desperately.

Yea, I think the sex bot sees how many wall posts, messages and photos you have with that person, status comments together and so on. Just general notifications together on facebook - and works from that. I did it, and its really strange. It seems to work (apart from the fact it picked my cousin as one of them).

I think it is both random & defined. Sexbot may randomly pick predefined locations on your facebook profile. I figured this because if I run Sexbot more than once, or over a couple of days (however long it takes for my profile to have different people in different element locations), the result is that the list of people to have sex with changes slightly. I am making the assumption that the list is changing because of expected functionality, and not because there is a bug in the software.

This is merely a marketing tool, this Sexbot application, so I don't think they would want to spend a lot of time or money on it. It is meant to drive Traffic to Sexbot.com, a porn site.

I don't know either, but like you said it is not random, I did it multiple times and got the same 5 people for sexbot most of the time and only about 8 different people total

I think both bots use a combination of profile visits, wall posts, picture tags, messages and such to come to the conclusion. I have to say though that the sexbot is a bit jarring. It accurately predicted a girl whose profile I haven't looked at.... EVER or had any real contact with. So take from that what you will.
