Prevent friends from commenting on status on new facebook?

I looked up how to block a friend on facebook from commenting on your status' and there are many tutorials and different walk throughs on how to do that, but that is for the old facebook settings. Does anyone know how to do that with the new facebook settings? I can't seem to find anything. Thank you!

the new facebook doesnt have that option

anyone who is your friend can like or comment on anything they can see, and then that thing they like or commented on is automatically shared with all of that person's friends via the ticker

there is no way to just turn it off

remember, facebook is a website for sharing things and getting feedback from mutual friends... not a place to make everything private....

YOU ONLY NEED TO EDIT YOUR PRIVACY SETTINGS AS BELOW,
If you are using a smart phone,
1. Tap photo at the topleft of any page
2. Scroll to the bottom of the menu
3. Tap account >privacy settings.
If you are using other phones,
1. Click settings at the bottom of every page
2. Choose back to settings >privacy.
For anything you would like to share among selected audience ,use the dropdown menu
