How can someone "like" my facebook status who isnt even on my friends list?

someone liked my status who isnt my facebook friend. yes all my settings are set to private, I am sure. whats the deal? Thanks

You might want to go check on those settings. It might be just your status's aren't private.

Facebook settings aren't as straightforward as "Public" or "Private." You could have your privacy set to "Friends of Friends" or "Friends & Networks" etc. Unless your settings are at Friends Only, people who are connected to you in one way or another (friend of a friend or in your network) may be able to view and like your status. I'd encourage you to review your privacy settings again.
