How to make friends with a girl that's not in any of my classes?

I love this girl since like 1st grade and I m in 8th. We were in the same 4th grade. In 6th grade she sai hi to me after I looke at her cuz she waz talking to my friend across the table. I didn't realy say anything cuz I waz shy and was red FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE. her birthday is comming in 6 days and she has liked 1 comment I posted on Facebook last year. Should I say happy birthday too her on Facebook? She is REALY popular and smart etc. just wana be friends nothing els but how. We r not in any of the same classes? I m by bad with popularity but nt VERY POPULAR. What should I do? Plz hlp me. Thx JUST FRIENDSSSSS

OK I WROTE THIS QUESTION A WHILE AGO AND TODAY IS HER BIRTHDAY. I SAID HAPPY BIRTHDAY ON FACEBOOK AND THEN SHE LIKED MY STATUS AND LIKE 97 OTHER PEOPLE( AND THERE IS STILL 4 HRS LEFT). SHE JUST RANDOMLY LIKED IT AND THE PEOPLE SHE LIKED THE MOST SHE COMMENTED (I M NT THOSE PEOPLE). FOR EX. A PERSON SAID HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIGHT AFTER ME THAT WAS A FRIEND (A BOY)(AND HIS GF SAID HB AFTER HIM) THEN SHE COMMENTED, "HEY, I HAVNT SEEN U SINCE FOREVER, WHATS UP ".

WHAT DO I DO NOW. HOW CAN I MAKE FRIENDS WITH HER? THX

First you have to text her to get to know her. Second you ask her to hangout with a group of friends both of you know. Still text her once in awhile to keep your friendship alive and try to see her in school, maybe after school or after class or at lunch.

Well I'm a girl first of all and I am 13. And one thing is that it's usually better when the guy starts the convo. Learn about what she likes. What does she like? What's her favourite celebrity? If your nervous to ask her, start being friends with one of her friends and get more info. Her friend doesn't always have tot be a girl right? So ask one of her friends that are a boy. And do not tell anyone at all that u like her. RUMOR SPREADS. Wait and then when u find out more, start going up to her out of no where. Ya it may seem a little awkward. But just go. Trust me it should work. Make sure have a guy with u. Not 5 or 6 guys. Just 1 or 2. And I knew this part may be a little weird...but later on when u stry thinking that she is starting to Like u, start talking to other girls when she's there. And if she keeps looking and staring. I'm like 100% she is jealous. Which means she likes u. And try a couple of more times and I it continually happens tell her your feelings. But remember don't be too much with the girls. Because then she might judge u as a flirt. And become uncertain. And Idk about other girls...but as far as I'm concerned. I like boys that don't act too stupid. step 2. ask her for her phone number. (I know its scary but hey worst case scenario she gives you a fake)
step 3. call her and talk to her some more. (maybe set up an activity to do together) Like a date
step 4. bond with her if you haven't already.(bonding happens naturaly you cant command this tedious proccess.)
