What adjustment do I need to make on Facebook so that my profile will appear in google searches?

You have to change some of your privacy settings. I'm not sure what it is though.

Your profile will appear in Google search as soon as your page is indexed. No matter which privacy settings you've got, your name and page preview will be there. In order to check it I suggest you to use Facebook Search site listed below which is build up on Google search around Facebook. So, you'll get search results only from Facebook.

Click on accounts and then privacy settings then click "application and websites" and then go to public search option. You can do this via public search option.
