How do I work Facebook?
2 Facebook questions: People search isn't working for me & how does "Restriction" work?

1.) If I search a person, I put in say John Doe & several names show. So I hit "people" on the right side of the screen & then it says "No results found for your query". But...I just SAW all the John Does! So they're in there but I can't search them?

2.) I have an old friend who wants to be a Facebook Friend. I really don't want this person to see EVERYTHING. So, can i restrict them - yet allow certain things on a case by case scenario? Like, THIS picture is ok, but not that one...THIS comment is ok, but not THAT one. Know what I mean?

To answer your 2nd question first. You can assign your friends into groups. When you post, pictures or messages you can choose which groups of people can see them.

As for your 1st question: IDK. It works for me.

Post it, then ask them if they saw it.
