Facebook friends........?

When you look at someone's profile on facebook and it shows some of their friends, are those the friends that view the person's page most often? Or are they totally random.
I want to know this because a boy who likes me (he told me)
and a boy who I like was on mine when I checked it
And when I checked the boy who I like's page I was on his friends list also
