There are a lot of things you can do to get your number of followers increased. Some folks have gone the route to spend a lot of hours doing the work by hand. I did that myself for a while. However, a lot of folks have successfully used legit automated systems to get the followers they want. I've tried it myself and found it to be quite successful. Twittenator is kinda cool (I just like the way they made the Twitter bird look like The Terminator). It's a pretty good program. You can also try Twixplode. Haven't tried them myself, but have heard good things about them. The best one though I'd say that has the best results would be the Twitter Online System.
