Why do some people "check in" on Facebook any time they do anything?
I have some friends who "check in" on Facebook constantly. One of them checks in and tags her coworkers almost every single time she goes to work. Why do people feel the need to do this so frequently?

I have no idea but wondered the same thing myself. Why do some ppl need to check in every where they are at and tag anyone else who is there? Who really cares about where they are 24/7? Maybe they think they are a celebrity and are that important that everyone needs to know where they are at all times and who is with them.

Even better question would be: Who do people even use that website? I have found, after a few years of observation, that people love attention. those that crave it, use the site incessantly. Those that don't need it, or get it normally or have good self esteem otherwise, don't use it.

Checking in is equivalent to: HEY LOOK AT ME, LOOK HOW STUPID I CAN LOOK.

You get the idea. Same group with tattoos galore and every body part pierced.

There's no reason to. It's stupid, in my opinion.
