How to get my music heard.?
I know this question has been asked before, but I personally didn't find the answers very helpful.

So basically, I've recently started making music (playing guitar) & I've got myself on youtube. But I'm finding it hard to get the views. Thing is though, I want real views, not fake ones (which people seem to be advising other people on similar questions)

I promote on twitter & facebook but I only have a couple hundred views & I'd love to get my music out there properly. (Not to become famous, just to share my passion with the world) I'm not amazing or anything as I've only just started learning, but I love what I'm doing & would like for other people to take an interest too.

If anyone has any tips, I'd really appreciate it.
Or if any of you guys want to have a listen, here are my sites.

Facebook music:

YouTube:

Twitter:

I Appreciate any help & support. Thanks alot x

I've had a look at your YouTube and your content isn't good enough to get a following of any sort. Apart from alot of practice on your instrument you're going to need it to sound better e.g. plug into a damn amp. If you want to get good you're gonna have to practice 1-2 hours a day.
The harsh truth is nobody wants to see a begginer when there are some amazing pro's they can watch instead if you want views you have to be able to play well first. If you really enjoy playing and want views don't give up, but it's not gonna be easy.

Thing is, people today like songs that are catchy. Catchy as in like they will sing it for the next few weeks. It gets stuck in their heads.

But, songs like those come rare. If you're just a starting musician, better write more songs, and sing well. To get discovered. Songs that are new but aren't catchy will become famous because of the artist. Either he/she is famous and already has a fanbase, and their is 100% certainty that some people will buy the album.

Make songs that will capture their attention. Be it catchy, or like, it affects their mood. Or something that reflects on their life. Something they can relate on.

I watched some of your videos , you might want to consider improving the sound quality

especially in that vid "Mushh - Love: Noun - An intense feeling of deep affection." That really sounded like it could be good but idk what it was , maybe the mic wasn't close enough to the guitar , that whole "natural" rustle in the background all low end mics give spoiled it. Seriously that sounded like it could be really nice. I do suggest getting a good mic and maybe moving it closer to the guitar so that it can be heard better. Also the mic you are using doesn't show enough clarity.

Vid quality can sometimes play quite a big role in these things.

The radio station I listen to is BBC Newcastle. They have a feature on Tues, Weds and Thurs evenings where they play new music, a lot of which is guitar music. It is mostly artists like yourself who are not yet famous. It introduces new talent. You simply upload the songs onto the radio station website for which I have provided a link and then you can hear it on the radio. You upload the music at the exact page which the following link goes to.

I hope this is of some help,
Ben

I have read that you do not like suggestions to buy views. Do you think that all the people who do it and doing it for no reason at all? Its called the snowball effect, when a normal user sees that the video has some lets say 50,000 views for example he would look why so many people are watching it and he too watches that, this is the same case with every humans, but in order for that views to grow naturally you need to be exceptionally brilliant with your music or should be very famous, since most of us are not like that we need to market them to get noticed. Its at that point these services comes in handy. I would always its worth a try. Cheers
