How can I find opportunities to talk to the girl i like?

Ok so im a freshman in high school and there is this other freshman girl i like. I used to talk to her pretty frequently during 8th grade because we had classes together and sat at the same table a lot and stuff. Now, I don't have any classes with her. We walk past each other in the hallway usually like 1-2 times a day. Sometimes i say like "hey" or "hi" but not everyday since it gets awkward if you do it all the time. I want to be able to find opportunities for me to get to talk to her. Also, she is not in the same social group as me. It's not like shes "cooler" then me at all though. Furthermore, I dont really know her friends that well. I did get her phone number while talking with her on facebook and we do text like 2-3 times a week, but I WANT TO TALK TO HER IN REAL LIFE THEN ASK HER OUT. Lastly, I'm pretty sure that at some point in 8th grade she liked me back but im not sure.

How can i find opportunities/times to talk to her without seeming desperate?

Texting is the first step to everything. (And talking obviously) but if you constantly text her you might start getting close again, you can be in completely different classes and still be close that way, (if you do get close to her) you can ask her! I hope I helped. X

Go up in front of her first chance you get and tell her that you're in need of desperate help and that you need to talk to her in private real quick. Then when you are alone, just take her hand and tell her how you've been meaning to see her but never could until now. Now squeeze her hand firmly and tell her that you missed her and that you've been wanting to call her. Then kiss her. And say something like, "Sorry, it's just that you look really beautiful today", then just tell her to meet you after class somewhere, then walk away.

If you do something along those lines, you will look like a total bad a**! Lol. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure she'll remember all the times you guys shared and she'll think of how cute it was that you just did what you did to get her attention.

Ohh! and try not to be all lovey-dovey, especially since its gonna be the first time you guys last talked for a while. You don't wanna sound too emotional haha!

Then the next day, buy/make 2 sandwiches and make sure one is cheese and ham/turkey. And just ask her if she'd like a sandwich cuz you have an extra and that it was for a friend but (s)he left and that you only thought of sharing it with her cuz you thought she is cute. Then give her the sandwich. and BAM! you got yourself your first date ;D I guarantee the girl will be interested in you(:
