Is it possible to make a Facebook Profile that only allows the user to add friends?

I would like to have a Facebook profile for personal use that only allows me to add people as friends, and does not allow people to see and/or to add me as a friend... is this possible?

well, yeah. when you create a profile, you can go to the privacy settings and set things so that only friends can see your information. Also, people can add you as a friend, but you only become friends when you accept their request. if you deny, then they won't become a friend (but they also don't get notified so you don';t have to feel bad), and there you go.
