What are ways to get the word out about a talented graphic artist needing a job?
Below are some details, but see http://savejoseph.org for the full story.

I have a friend, Joseph, who's one of those people that everyone wants out in the world doing something creative because he's just plain good at whatever he picks up. In particular, he's a stunning graphic artist. But, he has a family to support and has been stuck at a job making teeth for the last several years. In the next week, he has to choose to either increase his hours and put his art to the side, or risk losing the hours he can work when his boss hires another person full time.

I'm trying to get the word out to find the right person that can connect him with an artistic, challenging job.

Here's what I'm doing so far:

- I'm blogging about it regularly on my site, a blog which has a readership in the web design world
- I've started a Twitter account, but have not gotten many followers
- I've created a press release and contacted a couple of newspapers, but am really uncertain how to best tackle this.
- I've contacted everyone I know who might know someone who could help
- I'm Twittering myself on a daily basis about the progress of the campaign
- I've hired someone to write a poem about the campaign (sounds odd, but who knows)
- I've hired a virtual assistant in India to write a badly written plea to potential employers (for the humor factor)
- We're submitting his art to various blogs and directories
- Everything that gets posted to Twitter also gets posted to Facebook
- He's submitting resumes to careerbuilder.com and monster.com

Any tips you can give on how to get the word out, how to build something viral, or how to land a creative job in graphic design, video game art, or even suggest potential job titles that might fit his abilities, that would be awesome.

You can see his work at http://josephcowman.com.

Video.

Videotape him doing some art, start to finish and make sure his name is mentioned as well has his website.

Video Ideas:
slideshow of artwork
video of him doing the work start to finish
snapshot of progression of his work (if it takes 60 min to do, take pictures every 5 min of his work and time-lapse, make it a video and find the right place to boost its views)
