why did this weird my friends out? they were doing it too?
So I graduated from high school this summer, and some of my close friends and I took a trip down to the Caribbean to celebrate. 9 of us total: 3 girls (including me), and 6 guys. We've all been friends since like 7th grade.

Anyway, this island that we went to was gorgeous, and we pretty much had the beaches to ourselves, so us girls figured "what the heck" and took our tops off on the first day. there was a bit of giggling, but pretty much everyone was mature about it. I took my bottoms off later too, and it was cool with everyone. nobody even seemed to really notice.

after that, since everyone was kinda cool with it, i just went to the beach naked after that, and the other girls carried on going topless some of the time. And in the villa we were staying in, I mean of course I wore clothes, but given that i was buffing it on the beach, I didnt really see a point in being shy about being topless or naked around the house.

the other girls were a bit like that too. I definitely wasn't the only topless/naked girl around the house. but i guess it was mostly me. Ever since then though, I've seen all kinds of rude remarks on facebook about "oh, 'naked girl' this, 'naked girl' that". I called one of my girlfriends that was on the trip and asked her wtf, and she was like "yeah, i felt like what you were doing was very inappropriate. blah blah blah." should I feel guilty? how should I resolve this with her/them?

They are being retroactively rude. If they didn't tell you when it happened that it made them uncomfortable or anything, then it's their problem.

However, to deal with it, I suggest apologizing. Say something like "I'm sorry, I didn't realize that it was inappropriate. Please tell me next time if I'm making you uncomfortable, and I'll fix my behavior. Can we forget about it?"

You don't need to feel guilty at all, but you should acknowledge how they feel about it now to avoid problems.

Girls are weird - especially at your age. All you need to do is phone her and tell her your sorry and you thought it was ok because both her and your other friend was doing it. Tell her you obviously crossed the line and your sorry. Tell the guys that too. If anything girls love being right even if they're wrong. So just say that and forget about it if they wont forgive you they're not a nice crowd to be hanging around anyway.
