How can I disable being 'Tagged in Places' on Facebook?

How can I disable being 'Tagged in Places' on Facebook? I have friends who keep tagging me with their phones when I'm out and it very, very annoying. Ive looked this up on the net but the 'Privacy Settings' seem to have changed. Its like Facebook are making it more difficult to disable this annoying feature. Any ideas?

you cant disable it, all you can do it set the option to "approve tag before posting" and never approve it

I had this problem.it was so annoying.But tags can't disable.try this method to prevent from that problem

on Privacy settings ,you will see there has a line which said "Timeline and Tagging" click on that's edit setting. you will see line as " Review posts friends tag you in before they appear on your timeline" do it as "enabled" after that click "Done".then when friends tag something to you, on happenings ,facebook will ask to approve that tag.you can click when asks that and cancel that tag.also you can do this ..click on your profile page on "update info" you will see some happenings marks as red color.you can click that update info and whether you want approve or cancel those tags,do anything you want in there.

You Cant Disable it you Can Enable Tag Approvals But thats Pretty Much It
