They're lying and you're gullible. It's not possible without full access to both Yahoo's servers and your ISP's servers, which no one here would have.

If your email is the same as your Facebook account then yeah it's possible with hacking software.
but if the user had done that he may get fined if found doing it.

Firstly, how did they find your ip address in Y!A?  I wouldn't think that was possible.  Secondly, you'd have to have a pretty badly unprotected machine for them to see what's in your browser (assuming you were even logged into FB) -- no Windows firewall, no router firewall, insecure browser version (IE6?), etc.  I'm calling shenanigans on this one!

Call their bluff -- tell them to send you a friend invite to prove it.
