Suggestions for getting followers on twitter?
I joined Twitter recently and so far I have 2 followers and am following 42 people and companies such as Disney/Pixar. But one thing though, I want to contact a few of the people I follow, but the problem is I can't send messages to users that aren't following me.

Any suggestions on how to get the folks I've been following to follow me in return?

I've tweeted three of them so far. Most of my tweets are links ot my blog which I update 3 times a week or small updates.

What I do is ask them to follow back. That usually works for me. Also tweet more about things works too.

There are a lot of things you can do to get your number of followers increased. Some folks have
gone the route to spend a lot of hours doing the work by hand. I did that myself for a while.
However, a lot of folks have successfully used legit automated systems to get the followers they
want. I've tried it myself and found it to be quite successful. Twittenator is kinda cool (I just like
the way they made the Twitter bird look like The Terminator). It's a pretty good program. You can
also try Twixplode. Haven't tried them myself, but have heard good things about them. The best
one though I'd say that has the best results would be the Twitter Online System. If you want/need
a lot of followers quickly, this would be the site to check out. Let me know if this helps out. Good
luck and take care.
