The ADS WERE GONE WOW ANNOYING SO IF YOU RECENTLY INSTALL AN APP THAT MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM...

Yes, that is the usual vector that these ads use to get into your browser.
uninstalling any browser extensions or software applications that you installed prior to the ads appearing should get rid of the ads. if not, you should run an antimalware scanner such as Malwarebytes Antimalware or SuperAntiSpyware.

Once you have removed the "ads not by site" malware, i recommend installing the FB Purity browser extension as that gets rid of all Facebook's official ads, leaving Facebook a much cleaner and easier to use site.
