Nope. Those ads are what keep FB free.

If you're using a browser that supports it, you can download an add-in such as AdBlock Plus to remove ads from Facebook and other sites.

It is possible and easy on Google Chrome or Firefox but not easy in IE.
So download Chrome or Firefox and install adBlock or adBlock Plus extension from their site. And the ads will get blocked automatically!
