How can I block Facebook friends from seeing when I add a new friend?
Every time I add a "friend" on Facebook my mother e-mails me and asks, "Who's so-and-so?", especially if it's a male friend. Can I hide this kind of info from all friends? I'd rather not have my current friends see when a new friend is added. Thanks!

go to your profile page
Activity tab - hidden Friends- visible only for you Status- custom/ block your mother Chat- options- advance settings- except... type your mother's name PROBLEM SOLVED now check what and how/ if she can see anything from you with "view as..." option. If there is any solid problem your mother should solve it with you in a REALITY, not spying you online. If she suspects you are video chatting with some spooky strangers she can easily disable video calls by taking away your cam. Simply talking to ppl online is not dangerous, as long you don't reveal your identity to strangers. The big majority of violent crimes are done by people who knew each other, not by strangers who contact each other online. Big majority of facebook population are children, marketers and online writers. You should inform your mother about these facts if she is concerned. Ads |
