Would you take this comment as an insult?
So I posted a new profile pic on facebook and my middle school principal from loooooong ago private messages you writing, "Am I the only person who notices how incredibly sad you look...you're wanting something more out of life"

How do I even respond to that? LOL

I'm sure the comment wasn't intended to be an insult. This was someone who knew you and cared about you when you were younger, and now that they see you again they can see a difference.

I think this person is only trying to reach out to you with the best possible intentions.

I wouldn't take it as an insult, but it's a little out of line having a principal commenting on student's photos and making assumptions based on a photo. What is he/she doing on your Facebook? I would ignore it, unless this person takes it further (messaging you, etc.).

The truth hurt here? What he said describess about 90% of the people in the world and he notices something you dont so hes probably right in that youre just not as happy as you could be and definitely want more out of life. So you respond by telling him hes right and isnt this something we all are looking for.

Am I the only person who thinks this man is a pedophile?
Something about this just doesn't sit right with me.

Don't respond to his comment.

He is very clearly coming on to you. Everyone is sad about some crisis at some time, and he has approached you with that line on the outside chance that you would be appreciative of someone to talk to who really, really cared. Then.........
He's not necessarily being sleezy; It could be an honest attraction/desire to start a relationship. If possible ask other former students if they have heard from him.
