How can I reach 1000 facebook friends fast?

I am doing a stupid (I know) bet with my friend on who will reach 1000 friends first. I don't know 1000 people that have facebook and I can't go add people randomly, it will take forever and I can't guarantee they will accept my request.
Any suggestion on how to reach that number fast?

Unfortunately the best way is sending everyone friend requests.
However, if you don't want to do this you can start a group on one of your interests, then you can add all the members. But that might take a bit longer; at least it's less tedious.

You should start adding just about everyone you know, then start adding a load of people who are mutual friends, this will then lead on with more and more mutual friends. But be careful adding to many random people, sometimes if you add way too many people to fast Facebook will temporarily ban you're account incase your a hacker.

Make 1000 friends fast in real world. Ask them to join Facebook. Add them "fast". Beat your friend.
