Facebook apps I don't use are messing with me?

I friend posted that I sent them something with an app I deleted and haven't used in months. I looked at my settings and privacy and it's not there in one of my "authorized apps to interact with my Facebook." or "recently used"
Any thoughts about whats happening?

Sometimes the creators of apps will make them so they go viral. basically you account is automatically sending advertisements to people. Facebook may put a freeze on your account after which you'll have to reactivate it.
