Why are the majority of my facebook friends females?

I'm a 19 year old female and I have 40 facebook friends. 32 of them are female and 8 of them are males. I'm wondering why there's such a high percentage of females and such a low percentage of males. It seems to me as if females are nicer, kinder, more sensitive, and more understanding. So I prefer them. Could that be why? Are they really that way? Are guys are just meaner, less understanding, and less awesome?

Well since you only have 40 friends, you probably are ether A) Fat, B) Ugly or C) both. The only reason why the internet hates you or even the rest of the world is because you are probably a suburban whitey who has nothing to offer to anyone of interest. You probably sit at home, on facebook, watching Desperate Housewives while having gay little sleep overs with your other lesbo friends listening to Justin Bieber and having parties that don't involve and alcohol or drugs. Knowing that you all are too ugly/fat to pull any kind of male, even the ones who live in thier moms basement into your life. How about you do us all a favor and stay in the midwest and let the rest of the world do its thing without sensitive people like yourself holding the world back.

This is mostly because your a female yourself. I mean, girls get along with other girls pretty well especially at age 19 because most of them are mature enough.

I have over 400 friends, but i don't know if the majority of them are female or male.
