Can sexting with someone be cheating?

Me and my boyfriend have been going out for three months now. I feel very strongly about him but he's very far away from me. He lives in Turkey and is Turkish. Because I live in Northern Ireland it is quite difficult because of the distance. We talk to each other every night by text, talking on the phone or through facebook. Before I met my boyfriend I have developed feelings for a girl in my 5th year form class (yes i'm bisexual). We broke off for summer and i hadn't told her how i felt, i then went to turkey in the summer and met my boyfriend, it was great! Then after the holiday ended soon after i started back to school. When i saw this girl again all my feelings came flooding back and all i could think was is this right? Maybe its just a phase. But still 3 months on i feel for her we've been through quite alot this past while but we're still very good friends...and then tonight things heated up and we asked eachother questions...she asked one like would you sext me? (sex text) she was joking but i didn't know and said yes. She reply i was joking but if you want go for it...so i did ...so i guess what i'm asking is can sexting be classed as cheating? Ä°f it is i'm never doing iagain on him I care for my boyfriend to much to cheat (if i have cheated) also this will help me to know this for the future too. Thanks for helping me out, i really apriciate it.

"cheating" is subjective!
You should be asking this question to your boyfriend, not anyone else. What i consider cheating might not be considered so to someone else. So no one can really give you an accurate answer here except him. There is no generic big book of relationship rules that everyone should abide by. You "together" make your own rules.
