why does my friend on facebook have a friend that has no other friends except her?

I know the way that I have worded my question strangely, so I will try to explain it better:

I have this friend on facebook named Becky (Becky is not her real name, but I am protecting her real name) who is facebook friends with Steven. Now, Becky and I are good friends and we've got a lot of mutual friends in common, but Steven doesn't have any of our friends in common; he is only friends with Becky. I don't know Becky and Steven's history, but they have been friends with each other for a long time, long enough that Becky has had plenty of opportunities to introduce Steven to our friends so that Steven could have more mutual friends in common, but all this time, Steven has no friends in common with me except Becky. One of my questions is, why wouldn't Steven have any other friends except Becky and why wouldn't Becky introduce him to our friends? I was fb friends with another girl who did the same thing. Why would this be? Shouldn't my friend introduce Steven to some more of our friends? What does it even mean if you just want a friend who doesn't know any of your other friends? Is this normal or should it be a cause for concern?

Why not ask Becky?
Really! Is she really your friend, or just in fb? Ask her, don't ask us!

All we can do is guess, and there are millions of possibilities. Maybe:
- Steven doesn't like facebook,
- Steven forgot his password
- Steven is dead
- Steven lives in another town
- Steven doesn't speak your language
- Steven is Becky's cat.
- Steven is Becky before the sex-change operation
- Becky doesn't really like you
- Steven was going to be a surprise date for you
- Steven is asking the same questions about you
- Steven is a cloned stegosaurus, and has trouble using a keyboard.

Don't overthink it, just ask Becky!
