What will happen next?

I met a friend of my brother's, and I REALLY like him. We added each other on Facebook, and have been writing notes back and forth, just talking and learning about the other person.
We are long distance though, by about 300 miles.
So my question is, what happens next? Will he get bored? Do I just keep talking to him until he suggests that we try a date or something?
I'm sure you guys think you're the funniest things ever, but trust me you're not. I am looking for real answers here. I feel like reporting you for wasting my time.
Because I am genuinely confused about what happens next, being strictly on Facebook and long distance. Never started anything that way.
I know you can't predict the future. I'm just asking what the logical sequence of events would be.

LOL Lighten up, lady. You have to admit that this question is... funny. How could you possibly expect us to know what will happen with this situation? How can we possibly know his thoughts?
Make the most out of this and live it, one day at a time. What ever happens, happens.
Don't waste time wondering, just live it.

Well then, for this I'd say if you guys really hit it off, you'd have to wait sometime until you see each other. Long distance relationships are a bit tough to manage. However, with a little effort they can be very successful. The thing that affects that mostly is being separated all the time (obviously).
So what would really help would be if you guys found other ways to communicate besides simple messaging. For example, Skype or other forms of live video chatting. So as said, after some time, the big part would be actually meeting each other. Key thing is, keep it interesting for both of you. Stay connected. Feelings do fade, and fast; we don't want that, right?
