Why do people ignore me when i post suicidal thoughts?
i often feel very suicidal, when things happening in my life are too much for me to handle and i feel alone. so i vent on facebook about how i feel, and NO ONE HELPS ME. they will post comments on funny stuff and other things but when i am sad like that i get no responses. no one tries to help me, or give me comfort, or message me or anything. only 2-3 ppl out of 400 friends will try to help.

if i seen someone feeling suicidal i would inbox them asap.

first of all, i feel sorry for you, i really hope that you will get over it soon. always remember that all of us have problems, many of us choose to deal with it or accept it, others like you may find it hard. and sure, you can't control what happens to you, but you can control the way you deal with it.

this is a famous quote: "when you laugh the world laughs with you, when you cry you cry alone" this quote sums up everything. people don't want to hear other people misery, and sure they hate the drama. i understand that you may have problems and bad things happening to you, but you just have to deal with it. be strong and never wait for somebody to make you feel better.

again, i really hope that everything will be okay with you.

It sounds like you are a sensitive person. There are a few reasons why your posts may be getting ignored.

1) There is a lot of drama on FB, and some people may not take your posts seriously. It's possible they may think it is a ploy for attention.

2)Some people may feel uncomfortable and may not know what to say.

3) How well do you know your FB friends? Are they really friends or just people you barely know? FB can be extremely superficial depending upon who you choose to have as your friends.

4) Sometimes it depends on the time of day you post comments. It depends who else is online at the same time.

I wouldn't spend any more time posting comments like that on FB if I were you. If you are having recurring suicidal thoughts, please seek help. Talk to you doctor or pastor or teacher or counselor. There are people out there who can help. And if you would just like to chat to others about how you are feeling, there are lots of online support groups--where you will get much more of a connection when you are feeling low. Hope this helps.
