Does the new facebook timeline automatically hide posts you make on friends' profile?

when i post on a friends wall, it does not show up on my timeline. but is it showing up on the news feed, and how do i hide it?

I think so, I recently posted a response on my friend's wall and it did not show up on my timeline.

Is there a way to have comments you post on a friends wall show up on your own timeline under recent activity?? It does on the old format. Thanks
