He doesn't want to be together anymore. I don't understand why.?

My bf(ex) and I were together since June 14th, 2010. We live an hour apart, but see each other a couple times a month. I'm 17, he's 19.

About a month ago, he was texting a number I never seen him text before. I asked him who it was & he said ''Nick's sister''. I asked him why he was texting a girl cause he would get mad if I texted a guy. He said she was asking about his brothers Facebook, but she texted him 4 days in a row and each time, there was 5-10 texts between the two of them but my bf claims she was only asking about his brothers Facebook. He told me I could text her and tell her to not text him, cause he didn't like her.

Well last night, she added him on Facebook and I asked him why she added him if she knows he doesn't like her at all and now he tells me ''shes like family'', I asked him ''if she's like family then why didn't you accept her request?'' and he said ''I didn't know she requested me and I didn't want you to get mad if I accepted it''... he says he didn't want me getting mad, but he just said he didn't know she requested me? This girl is 22 and has 3 kids. They've known each other for 9 years, but still. He tells me he only says hi to her and plays with her kids. I figured it was more then just a hi and I then find out he actually hangs out with this girl behind my back. I broke up with him because he lied.

I was sad last night, telling him I didn't want to move on, but I had to, blah, blah, blah. He was pretty much encouraging me that I can move on, I can live life without him, and what not. This girl told my friend that she doesn't like him in any way so I felt better and told him we could stay together, now that I told him we could stay together, he could careless and telling me he doesn't know if he wants to be together, but last night he was telling me he wanted to be together, but he was encouraging me to move on?

He took this weekend off to come and see me, but apparently, he doesn't have a ride anymore. My grandma is going to his town on Saturday for a quilting show so I asked her if I could go along so I could see him and she said yes. So, I make an effort to go see him and he just doesn't want to be together. I don't get it. I have a feeling this girl is more then just a friend. Idk. :/
