This might sound really pathetic but (regarding facebook)?

I'm really scared and hesitant to put a profile picture up? Let's just say that I don't have the highest self-esteem. Anyways my friend took some pictures of me the other day and I'm considering putting them up. I'm just sort of nervous that people might think I'm ugly which will lower my self-esteem even more. I know this sounds so weird but I am really shy at these things.

Well if you're friends with people you know, then they already know what you look like. Maybe try some photoshop to touch up the pictures?

Look, I speak as someone who isn't part of the popular crowd, who has been bullied in the past, and up until a few months ago I had the lowest self esteem. I don't think you sound pathetic at all, and I bet your problem goes way deeper than just facebook. I bet you hide away from shiny/reflective objects,like toaster; always compare yourself to more pretty girls. But don't worry, YOU are beautiful.

Okay, so I will confess something here. I'm nearly 15, have a boyfriend and close group of friends who always tell me I am pretty- but I am I ever going to believe them? Of course not. But just believe that you are beautiful, smile,and others will see it too.
