Who is Shane from the Shane is my homegirl ads?
I see these ads on Facebook and stuff about these tshirts that say "Shane is my homegirl". Who is Shane? Is she from a show or something? Maybe I am a bit too old or I just don't watch enough tv or something. Please enlighten me so I don't feel so dumb.

Shane is the "player" lesbian on the TV show "The L Word" on showtime. She is one of the lesbians who acts more like a guy and dress more like one. Also she usually has a different girlfriend every couple of episodes.
