Should I get a Macbook Pro or Macbook Air?
Im getting a Mac soon, and I'm wondering which one I should get.
I'm going to need to take it to school a lot, and do school work on it. I usually use my laptop for basic stuff like surfing the internet and going on facebook. I might get some apps, and use iMovie sometimes. But my current laptop is a Lenovo and its really heavy. Also which is faster? I dont have many pictures or videos, maybe about 10GB
Which do you think would be better for me?
Thanks!

PS, dont tell me to get a windows 7 laptop, im sick of windows

I have both, and prefer using my MacBook air. It's what I'm on right now lol they're epic. There isn't a huge difference but the air is MUCH faster!! I'm selling my pro because I never use it anymore since I have my better air(; get an air hun, you'll be glad.

Macbook Air is the best choice if you ask me, its very portable very fast thanks to the SSD and can handle it self pretty well.

If you can afford it, go for the pro.
More processing power, and more ports.
if you just wanna be able to move around with it and don't need ports and don't need processing power, go for the air.
but i really recommend the pro. and then get yourself on a cycle on when you get a new one.
like me, I get one every two years for whenever a tock happens on intel's tick-tock so my next one is a 2013.. hopefully with the haswell i7 Smile

Definitely the MacBook Pro, simply because it has a cd drive, and is available in larger sizes. MacBook Airs are by-far to fragile and they are not faster, that depends on the specs.

The newest Pros have SSDs as well so will be faster than Airs - if you have the money!

MacBook Pro all the way. The MacAir lacks physical drives which you may still require.

I purchased both the newly updated 13" MacBook Air and the updated 13" MacBook Pro the day they were announced and released for sale in June 2012. After using the two machines side-by-side for a couple weeks now, I can say that the MacBook Air offers superior performance in virtually every respect to such a degree that I've pretty much stopped using my brand new MacBook Pro.
