How can I stop spamming my friends facebook news-feed with wherever I comment on Facebook?

I found out that wherever I comment on facebook it shows up on peoples Facebook news-feed. I don't like the idea of spamming people with wherever I comment, I usually comment just so the person I'm directing the comment to reads it- not my whole friends list. Is there a way to change this setting? I really can't figure it out, i tried messing with the privacy settings a lot.

Go to account and click privacy settings.

Once there click customize setting. And you'll be directed to a lot of options.

Look for "Posts By Me" and change you setting to either friends only or only me.

Friends only setting means only you friends can see all your posts, and the only me option means only you can see your posts.
