How can I get my Facebook notifications in my email again?

I used to get emails in my inbox whenever someone poked me, commented on my status, or tagged me. I also got group notifications and emails for when someone wrote on my timeline. At one time I turned this off, and now I want it back on. But every time I go to settings, the boxes are unchecked again. I keep resetting it, but it doesn't work. Help?
