I cant see my fiance's status updates on Facebook anymore. Please help?!?

Neither myself nor my fiance can figure out how this has happened.
We have checked his privacy settings when logged into his facebook account and there is nothing to suggest there is any restrictions against me or any other FB friends.
As far as we can see, ALL his friends are able to see his status updates.
Then I logged onto my account, and I viewed his profile and selected the "Friends" button, to check that his statuses are selected to show in my news feed. All are selected to show and he is classed as a close friend.
However......his statuses are still not showing. Though he can see my new status updates. I cannot see any of his basic info from my profile either. But when we log into his profile, he has all his basic info showing to ALL friends.

We are completely stumped as to know what the problem is, and as usual, cannot find the resolve on the FB Help Centre and cannot contact FB for advice.
Anyone have any ideas whats happened?
Thanks for the responses so far.... We have tried unfriending and re-friending, that didnt work. We cant find any restrictions on any of his privacy settings.
Ahh tie a lie.....just figured it out...it was a restriction. Its only taken weeks to finally figure out whats happened.

hey , i dont know what happened but try unfriending ( careful not to block eachother though) then add each other again - that should solve it

Edit your privacy settings

smart phones
1. Tap photo (top left of any page)
2. Scroll to the bottom of the menu
3. Tap account > privacy settings

other phones
1. Click settings at the bottom of every page
2. Choose settings >privacy

for everythink else you share on facebook ,use the dropdown menu to choose your audience right before u post
