Is there a privacy setting on Facebook that limits a friends viewing of my posts?
I don't want to unfriend ( like I do but I can't) instead is there a way to limit what they see. Like just see that we are friends but they can't really see many of my posts?

use your lists for that, and the little privacy icon below your status update box when you type your status...

If you don't want time line there's a button on the lower right corner when you want to update your status and a box comes up saying who can see your status or hide from. You type In their name and then you can set it as a default. You can usually do this with picture albums too.
