Told my crush I liked him and he did not reply back :'( why?

I sent a FB msg to my crush telling him i kinda like him at 12AM(basically midnight) on 29 October, and its 7:10 now, still 29 October,
Did he not see it? or is he ignoring it on purpose? What?
I'm being so ' down to the second' with the time and date cuz i want to ask you guys usually how long does it take for a person to see and reply to this. How much longer should i wait before trying to move on :'(

FYI i cannot tell him in person cuz I've never met him, spoken to him, he is pretty much a stranger to me, i saw his profile on a matrimonial site whilst looking for a suitable match for my sister

I told him that since his name was registered on the site he obviously wanted to get married soon, but i dont, so the least we can do is be friends(i want to start off from there)

Did i completely creep him out by sending him a msg or is he busy with work and not had time to check his facebook(hoping its the second one)

it doesn't really answer your question but usually in cases like this the guy is actually more made up in your mind rather than you knowing him for his true self and you probably will be let down when you figure out youve been off in fantasy land

You see, thats something you shouldn't do, never tell someone via a text or facebook, as you never will get the chance to see what are her emotions like, does he like you in any ways, how did he react ? What you need to do, is try to meet him in person and tell him there, and i swear you will get your answer there, i just don't hope it turns out to be what i got, last friday as i stand in the same situation.

I am honestly in the same situation as you are in. I told the girl i like, that i liked her and she never said a word... I mean i told her in person maybe you could help me out ?

I can understand your feelings.There can be two reasons for that
1. He already has someone in his life.
2. He is busy and not ready for that.(or he needs time to think)

But the advantage for you is that you have nothing to lose.
so call him up if you have his number and ask if he has read the message however don't keep sending him message again and again coz he might think you are very desperate.
