Why does Facebook only show me ads related to businesses in South Carolina when my location is set to Sydney?
I've had my Facebook account for a little over two years now, and my location has always been set to Sydney, Australia.

However, lately I've noticed that every second advertisement on my sidebar is for a business based in South Carolina. I've never been to the US, let alone South Carolina. None of my friends or family have ever been to South Carolina. I could not point it out on an unlabeled map of North America, and besides its name, I know nothing of the state!!!

Any ideas as to why this is happening? I'm more curious than irritated.

Because no one from sydney must have hired that place for ads. Thus they must be showing you other place.
