How to hide Facebook friends list?

How do you hide your friends list on Facebook from your friends and so that only you can see it? Everything i found online is old since Facebook keeps changing things. I want something that is current to November 2011. Please be detailed and thank you in advance.

I don't use Facebook anymore, so I don't know the exact directions for this, but you either go to Privacy Settings or Edit Profile and then... I believe in your family tab or relationships tab or whatever (the one where you edit brothers, sisters, families, relationship status, etc), it should show a little mini icon of a human head beside the list of your friends or something else like that. Like for instance, a group of people or a globe of the world. Change that to only me (or custom) and that's how you can hide your friends list. Sorry if my instructions are a bit confusing, but as I said before, I don't use Facebook anymore so I can't exactly look at it right now, so I'm just going through my thoughts of what I've seen when I did it.

Go to edit profile -> Friends and family -> there you'll see relationship status, family and friends and squarish tab buttons in front of them, those are your settings of hiding or showing your lists. Choose whatever settings you want and you're good to go. Hope this helps.
